Your First Visit

01

You've arrived

When you arrive at The Burrows, you will see our Kookaburra logo on the fence post. Make your way down the driveway (please go slowly!), and past the big green shed on the right hand side. Please park up infront of the provided signage.
You might notice a breeze on your face, hear the birds chattering overhead, or smell the flowers all around you.

02

Checking In

Once you're parked up, you can make your way up to our relaxation space (waiting area). Follow the signs through the garden to the clinic. Make yourself comfy by grabbing a drink, and taking a seat. The bathroom is conveniently located adjacent to the waiting room.

03

Your Session

You will be collected from the relaxation space by your psychologist, and depending on the reason for your visit you will either head down to the dam, walk through the trees, visit the coop, go up to the gardens, or into one of our tailored consulting rooms. As each of our clients have individual needs, we aim to reflect this in our therapeutic approach. Your psychologist will discuss your preferred approach prior to your appointment.

04

Goodbye for now!

After your session, your psychologist will accompany you back to the relaxation space. Make sure you have collected all of your belongings, take a final bathroom break if needed, and head back to your car. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land and waterways where The Burrows is located, where we work and live, the Woiwurung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nations, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and support the work to decolonise psychology, mental health and assessment services.
